Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra si Kinuwestiyon si Senator Leila De Lima kung bakit ayaw nito maghain ng motion for bail kaysa panay ang reklamo sa mga court order.

Ayon Kay Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, posible aniyang hindi nagpipiyansa si De Lima dahil kumbinsido ito na may malakas na ebidensiya laban sa kanya.

“If you think that the evidence of the prosecution is weak, if you are the accused, you would probably consider filing a petition for bail, but she has not done so,” paliwanag ni Guevarra sa interview sa ANC.

“I cannot really fathom, I cannot second guess why Sen. De Lima has not done so. Maybe she believes that the evidence of the prosecution is strong,” dagdag pa niya.


Matatandaan na nahaharap si Senadaora De Lima non-bailable offense dahil umano sa pagtanggap ng drug money mula sa mga high-profile inmate sa New Bilibid Prison noong siya pa ang kalihim ng DOJ mula 2010 hanggang 2015.

Kilala Din Si Senadora De Lima na isa sa mga pangunahin kritiko ni President Duterte.
